No Till Seeder for Sale

Notice for Bids on the Washington County Conservation District Haybuster No-Till Drill.

The Washington County Count Conservation District is selling the Haybuster No- Till Grain Drill. The Drill is a 2006 Haybuster 107. It has three seed boxes, with the first being a legume (or small seed) box. The rear box has the native grass seed attachment which includes a mechanical double agitator and large seed cups. The second box can be used for seed or dry fertilizer. Each of the boxes has individual metering to plant/ fertilize from each box at independent rates. There has been no fertilizer put through the drill while the Conservation District has owned it. The planting width of the drill is 10 feet, and has a total width of 10’ 5”. The length of the drill is 15’ 11” with a total weight of 3,850 lbs. The drill has had regular maintenance and upkeep, and was stored indoors through the winter months. Included with the purchase of the drill are all operating manuals, as well as Haybuster’s seeding recommendations for the Drill. For the full manufactures specifications you can click here 

.If you are interested in looking at the drill please contact the office at 724-705-7098 between 8:30 am and 3:30 PM and set up an appointment.

We will be accepting sealed bids up to 3:00 pm September 5, 2014 at The Conservation District Office .Please mark front of envelope “BID FOR No-Till Seeder”. Proposals must include bid amount, name, address and phone number. The bids will be opened September 9, 2014 at the Washington County Conservation District monthly board meeting, and the highest bidder will get the drill. Full payment must be received within 14 days after notification of award or the drill will go to the next highest bidder. The district board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

Legislation In the state of Pennsylvania has been passed that requires all animal operations that produce or use manure to have a written plan outlining how the manure is used, or disposed of.  The Washington County Conservation District is available to help owners understand the regulations, and to write a plan for their operation.

Contact Tom Ulrich at the office. He can be reached by phone at: 724-206-9446, or by email at:  tulrich@pawccd.org. He is available to work with any operator, no matter what size. If you would like help creating a plan, or have questions about the regulations feel free to contact us here at the office any time. There is no cost for our assistance, and we are always happy to help.

*For phased projects, the fee is based on the total acreage of the phase being submitted.
